Our Educational Journey
Our story commenced with a simple dialogue among 5 friends in Uganda; their discussion mainly revolved around educational challenges faced in Uganda and possible ways on how to tackle them.
This paved way for professional development trainings that were conducted informally (2002). In January 2009, Luigi Giussani Institute of Higher Education (LGIHE) became a fully registered Social Enterprise.
In September 2013, Luigi Giussani Institute of Higher Education (LGIHE) obtained accreditation as an institution of higher learning from the National Council of Higher Education (NCHE)
LGIHE is a conducive, learning environment where students are helped to rediscover their inherent dignity and unlock their full potential through a continual accompaniment in their educational path towards self-awareness.
The institute’s educational approach, informed by innovative research initiatives that address fundamental educational challenges, ignite a dynamic change within the learner/student thus fostering career growth and development thanks to the participatory teaching methods, action research practices, individual follow ups and continual curricula revision.
