In 2019, the LGIHE team embarked on a study to investigate how Ugandans define and conceptualize critical thinking. The study findings informed the construction of a localized conceptualization of critical thinking. The skills structure that emerged from the study was integrated into a teacher professional development model which is subject-specific. Through this, the teachers are able to incorporate critical thinking skills in their daily lessons.
