The 5th graduation ceremony of Luigi Giussani Institute of Higher Education (LGIHE) on December 2, 2024, was a radiant celebration, filled with color, joy, and pride. Held at the Luzira campus in Kampala, the event marked a significant milestone in the institution’s history as it honored 91 graduates, the largest number graduated yet. Families, friends, and dignitaries gathered to witness this special moment as students received their certificates and diplomas, celebrating the fruits of their academic journey.

Under the theme “Inspiring Growth as Stewards of Learning,” the ceremony highlighted LGIHE’s commitment to fostering growth and empowering individuals through relationship-based education. Graduates from the Certificate in Child Care, Early Childhood Care and Education, and the Diploma in Education, Primary, proudly crossed the stage, adorned in bright robes that reflected their hard-earned achievements.

The atmosphere was lively. The chief guest, Joseph Kikomeko, the Commissioner of Teacher Education, Training, and Development from the Ministry of Education and Sports, emphasized the importance of education in shaping Uganda’s future. “Today is your day. You stand at the threshold of a future that depends on your passion and dedication to transform lives and uplift communities. Your role transcends the classroom boundaries; it is one of leadership, mentorship, and nation-building,” he said.

As the ceremony unfolded, it was more than just a formal occasion—it was a reflection of LGIHE’s mission to empower students to discover their infinite dignity and strive toward the totality of freedom.
The graduates will now carry the lessons learned at LGIHE to inspire growth in the communities they serve.
